Worst lights for seasonal decorations

I have a vintage set of white metal outdoor reindeer and wanted to replace the old Christmas lights with fairy lights. I've never had a bad experience with fairy lights but I bought 2 sets and they both broke as I was almost done wrapping the reindeer! do not.buy.them! The wire popped out and the whole set stopped working. I had to make a return. .
