We used them for the Christmas lights. We have outdoor LED lighting. With these gels I cut out circles and just place them on my landscape spotlights. I usually cut them slightly larger than the headlight so I can just stick them in the light without glue. I rock Halloween and Christmas so I prefer red, green, orange and purple. They are enough for the entire vacation period. Although I have LED bulbs which don't produce much heat, towards the end of the holiday season (I usually have them for 30 days) distortion and color loss do occur. I wouldn't use them with halogen bulbs, they will melt.
