I've had this camera for over 3 years and never had a problem with it. I took thousands of photos of it! I also have a Nikon D-500 and a Panasonic Lumix Mega Zoom. Each of them has their own unique traits/abilities, so I have a good starting point as well. You need to spend some time learning how to use its features. Image stabilization can be turned on or off. When taking photos, make sure the dial is in the correct position. Hitting the macro button for close-up shots won't get you a great shot of objects in the distance. You can program a lot in manual mode, but you need to understand how it affects your image. The visual aids on this camera are wonderful. I would advise you to leave them enabled to get the right settings. I recently took this camera to Scotland and used it while sailing on a gray day with wind and rain and got some great blur free photos. cheap on Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo, which you must purchase separately and ensure they fit your camera. As I said this camera has been working well for 3 years and I have no complaints and would highly recommend it.
