MARVELOUS! Before that I tried 3 pairs from a local pet store. These worked perfectly!

I was beginning to think that dog boots wouldn't fit my dog. I haven't had to take my dog for a long walk yet, but the other dog boots I was fed up with before didn't fit. First, let me say that you should measure your dog's paws! Take a piece of paper and place your dog's paw on it. Make sure your dog is standing up straight and the weight is on the paw so it's a normal size when standing. On the paper, mark to the left and right of the paw, and then to the front and back of the paw. Including claws. I trimmed my dog's nails a bit, they might be longer than they should be, but I can't cut too much or I'll hit the fuse and they'll bleed. But even with the longer claws, this boot fits perfectly and tightly. I also LOVE that the trunk opens really wide so you can wiggle your dog's paw in all the way to the front of the trunk. Do it halfway, you don't want to hurt the dog's paw, but make sure the paw and claws reach the front of the boot. Then pull the bottom velcro, tighten it and keep the boot straight. Then pull the upper Velcro to secure the shoe. Again, make sure you measure your dog's paw to get the correct shoe size. If the boot is too big or too small, it will fall off or not fit. I also like that the Velcro top is roomy and the boots I bought from local pet stores had a drawstring. However, I think it cuts into the dog's paw and also makes a big loop to catch on something later. These double velcro boots are perfect! It does an excellent job of fixing the boot on the dog's paw, but it's also more comfortable and secure. I also love how lightweight these doggy boots are! This is a thinner material than others I've had but I like it because they fit the paw better. You can buy winter dog socks that dry quickly to put on your paws and then into your boots. If you want extra warmth, but I think the number one thing dog paws find so difficult is contact with direct snow, ice and salt or water. I think the plastic padding is ok and protects my dog's paws these days below 0 degrees. My dog is fine on 30 degree days, but days below 0 on a walk are too cold for his paws. I have not yet walked my dog in dog boots, he still has dew claws and I have read of people whose dew claws have been severely damaged by dog boots while walking. So I plan to only use them for running so he can walk on those cold days. I can also buy dog socks as I've read they prevent chafing to prevent dewclaw damage. Again, don't just estimate your dog's paw size. Measure to get the correct size as the boots will fit if they don't.
