Perfect for my needs! I use three of these in three separate 2 gallon nano shrimp tanks. I connected them together using a 3-way splitter, a Nicrew single-channel timer, and then the original power supply. In total, they only use 0.37 amps, so they work perfectly. Now all 3 tanks have sunrise and sunset together. The shrimp are very happy. The plants I grow are hardy: dwarf waterlily, subwatertan, brown and green wendtia, a few frogs, and marimo balls. Everything grows slowly and beautifully. In the smallest of spaces, the following applies: the slower, the better. The gooseneck has a good adjustment. I put a piece of sponge between the screw and the tank wall to avoid scratching it. The Nicrew clips are much lighter, but too big, heavy and light for this particular project. They are perfect and I love them. Nano lamps 8 inches square. I wouldn't use them for anything much bigger/deeper. Some reviewers say 5 gallons or less. just the tanks. My only real complaint is that the power cord connects directly to the back of the flashlight. This defeats the purpose of the drip loop. I'm already worried about water in the compound. I might buy even more.
