When I received the board I was disappointed that the board didn't get smoother, I could literally get a splinter from cleaning it. There was a chip in the board behind the handle, also an opportunity to get a chip. The other day when I was washing I noticed that the board is already coming apart a little at the connection point, i.e. under the compartments, horizontally along the board. I discovered a huge chip on my thumb in the shower the other day and now I know it was probably after washing the board. I loved the idea of the compartments to either put ingredients in as you cut them or to store ginger, garlic and cilantro to add to recipes as needed. I probably won't be buying from this company again unless they somehow send another product to redeem themselves. . I will no longer invest including my time and effort to get it back.
