I really like this device, but it's not perfect. Sure, it does what it's supposed to do, but there's enough weird stuff that would have to be if the company really paid attention to details. But first the GOOD. I have a 6x10 enclosed trailer for my Goldwing. I had a traditional Pingle wedge and it worked great, but Lock N Load is so much better! I used to have to force my wife to keep the bike upright for a short time after riding the bike in and hitting the block before I could secure the padded straps (couldn't use the stand as the bike had previously hit the wall bounced). the stand fell on the floor) and I think you can imagine this situation! I mean, she's not a pushover, but a 900+ pound bike that only feels secure when it's STRAIGHT and starts leaning - even an inch - going where it wants to go. Not nice at all. But with Lock N Load I hit the bike with the block and it lifts up a bit and LOCKS the front wheel. Now I just get off, grab the two rear side straps and press them down a bit before I buckle on the front wheel. Retighten the side straps and you're good to go! Now for what's not so good, it wouldn't take much more effort to fix. 1. The first thing that broke was the too thin plastic case around the ratchet (no I didn't drop it). I drilled out the rivets from the base and discarded the rest.2. Almost every piece of flat metal had very sharp edges. I filed down any sharp edges with a metal file (removed the nice layer of orange powder - unfortunately) and smoothed them all out. It is safe to handle now.3. A TOOL is required to remove the "wing nuts" securing the Lock N load to the base plate. They are cast aluminum and the lock washers (according to the instructions) bite into the knurled nuts so hard they gnaw through the nuts. From that point on, I decided to just use regular hex nuts and carry a socket and ratchet with me.4. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. I installed everything with a little reference to the "instruction sheets" as I have experience as a jack of all trades mechanic but for those who don't have that kind of skill and experience it can be a little tricky. But who doesn't have some mechanical skills when they have a motorcycle? That's all. I would recommend it to anyone carrying a large touring bike. This makes downloading and GO! safer and easier.
