This adapter kit is ideal for aligning an existing Toilet flange with a new tile the floor in our bathroom. Update: I contacted Oatey tech support and they confirmed that the plastic wedges are indeed intended to shim the bottom of the toilet when needed. They also recommended applying silicone sealant between each layer of the adapter used, except for the top where the wax ring will sit.
