I had a Grand Lodge Hunter 23530 fan for 18 years when the remote fan and light functions stopped working. I called Hunter for a part 85112-04 for a remote control receiver but they no longer make it and I bought this kit based on some of the reviews here and it worked. The large square connector on the receiver was compatible with my fan model, but the white and blue wires with connectors were not. We had to remove the connectors, strip the wires, twist the wires together and cover the electrical wire connector with screw terminals and electrical tape. It didn't take long, but it would be easier if all the connectors matched. In the end I'm very happy that my fan is working again and I don't have to replace it because although it's old I still like it and it would be cumbersome to replace the entire fan.
