2.5 - To be honest I was amazed at this "simple" way of cleaning brushes. Like most women, I'm terrible at cleaning my brushes and it can take a while and they don't always come out clean. I bought this and thought it looked fun to use as a good way to deep clean my brushes. As soon as I opened it I realized it was a waste of money. I didn't think about practicality. First, it is large and takes up a lot of space compared to the machine and brush holder storage. Secondly, although not difficult, the installation takes some time, in addition, you will have to clean part of the bowl afterwards. Third, most brush holders are designed for large brushes. I use a makeup sponge for my tinted moisturizer so all my brushes are for eyes or lips and they are small. Actually, only one, maybe two holders (if I pressed really hard) fit my brushes. The rest was superfluous. I gave it a 2.5 because there really isn't anything wrong with it, it just didn't meet my needs. If you're really into makeup and have a lot of big brushes, this might work. It's just not worth it when you only have 3 little ones that will dry quickly on their own. Like I said, I didn't think of that. The second reason was that it came with one of those little rubber cleaning sponges that REALLY worked great and were quick and easy (but cost about $3 if you buy them yourself). So I actually paid too much for the scrub brush. LAUGH OUT LOUD
