This is a decent door for the price. However, I would only recommend installing it on a door that is not directly exposed to the weather or insects. For example a storm door or a door leading to a solarium or garage. It's definitely not weatherproof. The valve is only connected to a magnet at the bottom and can be easily released in light winds. If you live in a cold area, it's best to invest in a watertight door that's rated for cold weather. Also, as many other buyers have pointed out, the included plastic screws are useless. The first one I used broke in half immediately. I ended up going to Lowe's and buying new ones. Anyway, for what I needed it for, it works. I installed it in our storm door and can leave the main outside door open when the weather is nice and dogs and cats can go in and out as they please.
