They were insanely easy to install. Both steps took less than 10 minutes. It helps that Toyota pre-arranged the wiring for them. They work on a plug-and-play basis and are controlled via a cargo switch in the cabin. They are very bright and illuminate the bed perfectly. The quality of the units seems to be really good. Time will tell, but they "feel" nice and aren't cheaply made. I mean they are Toyota OEMs. So it was to be expected. I really wish Toyota would stop producing so much in Mexico (it's been a drop in the quality of many VW parts over the years), but that's another story.
