This lamp was delivered to my mailbox today. I brought the box into the house and put it on the table for my son to open - he ordered it. Opened a few hours later. He noticed ants on the table. He then opened the box and immediately went outside, explaining that the box was full of ants. When he examined the light, there was a colony of ants in it. We have seen ants carry their young larvae. Pooh!

Because I have a tarpaulin on my truck, these interior lights make an incredible difference when loading and unloading the truck at night. At least on my 2021 Tacomoa TRD Sport - the wiring connectors are already in the truck (behind some fairings) and after watching 2 videos on You-Tube the whole installation took less than 30 minutes. The part was under $60 and the dealer asked for $298 to give it to me when I bought it. Nice and bright, looks great on the truck.

They were insanely easy to install. Both steps took less than 10 minutes. It helps that Toyota pre-arranged the wiring for them. They work on a plug-and-play basis and are controlled via a cargo switch in the cabin. They are very bright and illuminate the bed perfectly. The quality of the units seems to be really good. Time will tell, but they "feel" nice and aren't cheaply made. I mean they are Toyota OEMs. So it was to be expected. I really wish Toyota would stop producing so much in Mexico…

They arrived quickly and were well packaged to protect the parts. Installation on my 2020 off-road Tacoma was easy. There are no instructions included with the parts. To assemble, remove the 2 screws from the taillight and pull the taillight straight back to detach it from the 2 brackets. This is an OEM kit at a great price. The kit was easy to install. Lots of tutorials on Youtube. I recently traded in a 2016 Tacoma for a 2021 Tacoma. I bought an OEM LED kit for this a few years ago. This kit was three times the price and you had to wire the bottom of the truck yourself. 2020 and later models have pre-punched light holes. Very nice little light, illuminates the truck bed in low light, very low profile, not much thicker than a cap covering the hole that the light comes through. It took me no more than 10 minutes to complete the installation on both sides. As several other reviewers have pointed out, this is one of the easiest upgrades you can do to yourself on a 2020 Tacoma. I have a TRD Offroad and the night light connector is connected to a bracket just behind the tail light.
