Review on πŸ”Œ UL Listed LED Bioluz Dimmable Replacement: Enhance Lighting Control Effectively by Brian Wolf

high failure rate, poor dimming but good bright bulbs

I have 6 different brands of dimmable LED bulbs. Although the performance is different. Bioluz R40 2700K dimmable 120W bulbs perform worst. I understand that the compatibility between dimmers and incandescent bulbs is debatable, but there are few methods to "shut off" the AC voltage in an inexpensive way such as using a dimmer. B. Phase control using MOSFETs, Triacs, SCRs etc. I am currently using Zooz Zen27 which is a dimmer circuit based on modern MOSFET technology. Bioluz lamps only dim to 50% (50% setting, not necessarily 50% light output). All values below 50% start to flicker. Between 40% and 50% the light flickers, below 30% they simply go out. With dimming values of 85% to 100%, the lamps are at full brightness without a dimming range. Again, having used many dimmable bulbs, I wish they would work better. In fact, they seem to work pretty much the same as non-dimmable LED bulbs! used with a conventional light switch. 3 out of 6 lightbulbs have burned out in one year. Those lightbulbs are in the kitchen with 13 foot ceilings what a pain. I am so disappointed with the 50% bounce rate after a year. I contacted the company a few months earlier about a warranty. They promised to send new lamps but they never did.
