Under-width for the current capacity implied

I ordered 8 AWG 1/4" stud. A similar product in, for example, 3M (M8-14R/SX) has a tongue width of .470", but this one is .365" -- a LOT narrower, and the hole is not centered, so the conductor width at the "skinny" parts to either side of the hole is .045"/.055", as opposed to 3M's .100" .If you're planning to ever need the full ampacity of this type of connector, avoid this brand and stick to reputable products.
