Background: I have owned two other more traditional razors and have been shaving with a razor for over a decade. razor? no Would I buy it again? Absolutely! Conventional straight razors have to be maintained (cleaned) every time they are used and sharpened regularly. Let's face it, a lot of times I just want to smear glass shit on my face in the morning and get going, not the nice shaving ritual of swallowing a good shaving cream, smoothing a blade and so on. For years I had a DE used for these days. But a straight bottle of Falcon will at least be available on mornings like this, if not my staple. It handles well, the included blades were surprisingly good (since they came free with a handle, I expected to probably only use them once or twice before going back to what I use in my DE) and I had a very satisfactory shave. You'll notice that the edge of the blade is narrower than a regular straight, but that's no big deal. Also, the blades flex a little more than regular straight blades, but that wasn't a problem for me. Learn from my failures: Although it looks like a dutch blade (rounded point), treat it like a square blade or a spiked blade. The real blade doesn't have a rounded end, and I hurt myself pretty badly the first time I used it.
