Impossible to move the back label

The binding is beautiful. I'm pretty sure it's real leather on the spine unless they managed to use faux leather which smells like the real thing. Everything looks and works as intended. Except for the spine where you place the contents label. The spine label frame is a decorative metal square that appears to be attached to the binder body with small Phillips screws. Due to the shape of this spine, I was unable to slide out the label that came with it, or insert the label I created (using their template). So I took a small screwdriver and undid the screws to remove the plate, label it and screw it back on. Easy. But no. The screws aren't actually attached to anything solid. I can't say for sure, but I think they could have been stuck on for this application (and that's fine!) UNLESS you had to remove the plate to put another label on it. The fake binding humps on the back make this impossible. The problem is that because the screws don't actually work, they don't sit securely after you pull them out. it cannot be replaced) and therefore makes no sense. It's ruined unless I can find some glue that will hold - and it's another shopping spree or order and that annoys me greatly. For $24 I was expecting more than such an oversight.
