that I ordered this not so much to illuminate the body of a truck as to illuminate a compartment in a truck. I used three threads on each side. We managed to use a 12 volt cable to the 7 pin trailer plug as the power source. I didn't use the switches that came with the product, they require a square hole to install so we just chose what was available. They give off more light than intended, so I didn't use all five boxes as originally planned. The adhesive film holds up well. When reinstalling the shelves I ripped one off but the adhesive backing stayed in place and the base came off for a light that appears to be magnetic. Like everything else in Phoenix, Arizona, the summer heat will play a big part in surviving our summer temperatures. But at the moment they are fixed very tightly only with the help of 3M protective tape. Great buy for the price!
