I bought two of these to scrape the vinyl off a concrete base. Unfortunately, they were of little help due to the glue used. However, I have found this tool to be invaluable for many other purposes: - assisting in removing baseboards and door panels in single, whole pieces - removing a thin mass from a concrete base where tile was (with a hammer) - scraping off Paint from Different Surfaces - Anywhere you need a thin blunt or sharp edge with leverage! The tool has solid construction and decent quality blades. Even after using it to shave a thin layer and remove the baseboard, I still didn't notice any wear on the blade. However, I slightly damaged the handle by hitting it with a hammer to remove the flimsy set. It's still a very useful tool after that. I would definitely recommend this product if you need to scrape linoleum or vinyl off a hardwood floor or do any of the above.
