chrome visor. No tape, no glue.

Cover the front fender first so you don't cut yourself if you drop tools or parts on it. Once covered you will find that you don't drop as many things. Why? who knows how it is. I installed this on 06 Road King. I removed the chrome trim ring, one screw below and held it on top with a wire clip. Push out from below. I then removed the 3 small screws holding the electroplated ring that holds the headlight in place. I installed the visor under the galvanized ring that holds the bulb. DO NOT remove the headlight aiming adjustment screws. bracket . The edge of the visor fits under the galvanized ring. Replace 3 screws. They are short and somewhat painful to reinsert. If they were a little longer it would be a lot easier. I haven't seen how silicone or tape could be used unless you're trying to attach it to a chrome ring. It looks like a mess and not very secure. I have installed them on other motorcycles and have always installed them under the headlight ring. However, the chrome trim ring may not be as snug as it used to be. You just added a gasket to the headlight ring. It should be snug and secure. Make sure your lip stays under the ring when you put it on. The job should take less than an hour. You'll spend half of this time searching the ground for one of the small screws you dropped. No hard work, just take your time. The visor itself is of good quality and costs better than others. I put covers on the low beams, which also gives the bike a bit of old-school class.
