What is USB C to USB? Technology change without "obvious " warning. You will need it!

I had to search a few places to find the right unit for my newest Kindle. Revain changed the charging port but I have a desktop computer that boots from this device and I can then download it to my laptop. The device is excellent (once found). The capacity is great for the price. I use it to transfer data daily.
