The gears that came with the kit seemed to be of lower quality than the factory gears, we reused the original ones as they were ok I bought the kit because the plastic guides were torn to shit. But I used chain as you never know if the original chain stretched and it rubbed against the bare metal of the rails, but I'm surprised at how long they last.
