Actually I pushed this idea. I currently have a 40" flat screen TV and the mount has worked great even though I have bought a larger 42" TV and up. I like the fact that the handles slide forward to make it easier for me to access the back of the TV and then slide it almost against the wall. I just want to warn people that do-it-yourself installation requires some skill. carpentry and tools. I was fortunate to have a carpenter at home working on another project. I just gave him $30 and a cup of coffee to set the lever. Once the bracket was in place it was a simple (homemade) break to attach the panels behind the TV and place the TV on the bracket. In general I am very satisfied with the product. Worth the investment.
