I really only bought them as slippers. I just did a renovation and instead of stuffed carpets I have hard floors almost everywhere. Walking barefoot is unexpectedly painful, but I like the new floor more than the carpet for a number of other reasons. In any case, they fit surprisingly well, if a bit tight, which isn't bad for a water shoe. I usually wear US size 10 shoes and boots, so size 10 was fine. The sole is quite soft, which is to be expected. I wouldn't expect to walk or walk in them much. For anyone curious, I'll tell you that the pair's weight is about 13 ounces. The insole appears to be removable.
