We ordered 4 of these bar stools and they all arrived undamaged. They look just like the pictures. The only thing I wasn't aware of when ordering is that they have a stainless steel finish and no chrome. The base comes with rubber pads to help protect floors. The only problem I had was with the assembly. Although the assembly is fairly easy, the instructions leave out a few details: 1. The instructions state that there are 4 screws of equal size included in the kit. Actually there are 2 long and 2 short screws.2. In order for the gas spring to work you must remove the small black plastic plug from the top of the cylinder.
