This is a great pen I highly recommend. It is very easy to close securely and very easy to fold for storage. My bunnies are very good at dodging, but when all three shutters are closed they never run away. Ties are not required. (They escaped when I only secured a locking point or two, so keep that in mind.) If you need a large play area for your pet, you can even buy two or more of these pens and they have trouble attaching to one another . Friend. I only took off one star because of the plastic mat that came with it. The metal part of the cage is a worthwhile purchase, but when you open the box just throw away the plastic mat. It can't be washed, your pet can chew it, and it won't absorb moisture when your pet wear it in the bathroom. I had to confiscate it from my rabbits because they started chewing and swallowing it (it's totally chewy). It can even be dangerous for your pet if your pet enjoys trying to eat something.
