Still worth every penny!

UPDATE 20 MONTHS LATER: Best purchase I've made on Revain and I joined Prime 17 years ago. I use different attachments almost every day and they have proven themselves. I keep finding new uses for it and it has never let me down. Pizza and tortilla dough in the processor? Of course. Grating, slicing and fries? Ideal. grind spices. Crushing ice in a pitcher. Whip cream, egg whites and butter with a whisk? no sweat And then everything goes in the dishwasher. What more could you want from a small device? Have a nice and happy day everyone! === Bought this a month ago and wanted to try it before I write a review. It replaced a decades-old hand blender that was the best at the time, but it no longer had the power or attachments to do everything I wanted. Thoroughly researched to see if there are any technological improvements in this category and only this one met that criteria in terms of retractable blade, power, accessories and easy speed change. Yes it's expensive but their own website matches the coupon from the BBB. Usage: I appreciate the safety button as the power button is very easy to use - even with arthritic hands. As powerful as advertised, it gets through anything quickly and the extendable blade is amazing. I love turning accessories on and off and LOVE being able to change speeds without stopping or spinning the wheel! Accessories: Definitely NOT too much if you really cook and I cook. Jug makes the best, smoothest post-workout shakes I've ever had, with lots of frozen chunks of fruit. Like soft ice cream. Never get out of Breville for one thing. Made my best batch of mayonnaise in a clear container in under 2 minutes; I calculated the time. Grind nuts or onions or something else in a small grinder? Breeze. Mixing a small amount of batter or salsa together, or shredding/grating a small amount of cheese in a food processor is great and makes a medium pesto. pounder. Ah, stomp. I often make buttermilk biscuits or pie crusts and hate buying 14-cup cookouts for only six biscuits. Will a crusher work instead? Like a dream. Place the bowl on the scale. Weigh everything, no measuring cups. Add cold fat. Mash. Less than 2 minutes, well done. The plastic blade can be easily removed for cleaning. Drizzle mine with the buttermilk and sour cream mixture (the secret to the world's best cookies), mix with a fork, knead in a bowl and you're done. A fork and a cleaning bowl. Whisk: Powerful and easy to use. I have whipped cream and homemade whipped cream cheese that I love but don't want to buy. Pay more for air? Thanks but no. I made the $1.29 8oz with Aldi cream cheese and it's still creamy. Guarantee: You are not kidding. The core processor blade doesn't quite fit. It worked, but I had concerns. They called, found my order number, asked for a photo and immediately sent a replacement free of charge. I got it in 5 days. Fits perfectly. The warranty is two years, extended to a third year if you pay for MC and covers absolutely everything. It's so well designed and built that I'm sure I'll live with it for another ten years. Conclusion: My motto is: A chef is only as good as his tools. They don't have to be fancy or even pretty, but you can never go wrong by saving up to buy the best of its kind whenever you can. It ticks all the boxes, and bonus: I love using it, every single part. I'm glad I got the whole set because the individual pieces like the jug and processor are worth $$$ on their own. I hope this will help any chef still reading this on the fence. Buy it!
