We bought it to playfully teach our children about the refraction of light. Our 10 year old son really enjoyed experimenting with refracted light and making videos (really cool!). After the fun, we mount it on the windowsill and when the light is just right, we "catch" the prism. My 7 year old daughter took a picture of my hand.
