Very light, very comfortable, I wear them all day when it's warm. But I got her for boating. Some of the ponds I go to are quite rocky and I have to walk a few feet into the water. They are cool. Dries fast. Have excellent grip on rocks. Haven't done it yet but they would be very nice for beach walks where sometimes you just want to get in the water but there are rocks and corals everywhere and all that. They protect your feet and the water evaporates as soon as you get out. If you're hiking, they're so light you can carry them in your backpack if you think you have to cross a creek or small river. Take off your hiking boots, put them on and cross the creek, then put your hiking boots back on and put them back in the backpack. They are very well made, I should probably add.
