I like cabinet/drawer knobs with female ends so they can be easily swapped out. But they require a hanger bolt to install - they were PERFECT. Just drill a decent step and then do it. Put the handle on the screw, tighten it, THEN screw the screw into the drill hole with the handle and it is only tightened by hand. Then you can get a feel for how loose/tight you want it or when it's flush - much easier than a screwdriver.
