This little light works very well. My 2 gallon shrimp tank is showing good plant growth. The color is visually appealing and the plants need pruning every two weeks. Java fern and moss. Other Floating Plants I've applied black tape (can be painted) around the side edge of the lantern to limit the spread of light as I see fit. I mounted it on a 1/4" acrylic stick for my aquarium, but it works very well on flat glass or aquarium corners. Overall, it's fine for my use.
