youtube has a video from replaceparts.com that made it a breeze to disassemble, troubleshoot and repair, even for an old granny like me. I would have ordered a few bucks more from them, but I promised my grandkids pretzels for the weekend, and there was no way to knead everything by hand. Only Revane could deliver it to me in two days. The worm gear was identical to the old one, except for the damage to the old gears. My blender is working great now and it's always nice to know what's going on under the hood. It has been refurbished and I assume it hasn't been used for a long time. The grease on the underside of the assembly was semi-cured, I suspect this may have damaged the gearbox.
