Best not to shut off in valves
No shut off after 40 days of use. If the float is pulled, it stops and stays off, but once the water level drops and the water starts flowing again, it keeps working. In the picture, the swimmer is 2 inches underwater. I'll try a longer arm and/or larger float, if that helps I'll update my comments.
