Review on 🌈 Govee Smart LED Strip Lights: WiFi App-Controlled 16.4ft RGB Light Strip for Bedroom, Kitchen, TV, Party - Works with Alexa and Google Assistant, Music Sync Technology by Jeff Hall

Update 18 February 2021: I had to update my review as Govee has replaced their 32.8 inch sets with a controller which is now permanently attached to the strip. as kits 16.4. One of my bands stopped working on wifi so they sent me a new one. However, this unit has a plug built into the strip, meaning I would have to remove the strips I cut and soldered together to place them on different cabinet levels to use the new unit. This is totally unacceptable. I don't understand why they took this step back. I know some people just use the full 16.4 feet per strip or cut where it ends, but if you need to place some of the bulbs and your controller's crystals, you'll need to solder in a new controller. and that could mean removing your bulbs or soldering them in place, which can be very inconvenient if not impossible. ORIGINALS So I bought 2 sets of 32.8' and one 16.4' to decorate my kitchen with LEDs. I recognized the following. 1. The 32.4 inch kit didn't work well with ez connectors (ASIN B01MU7FKUK). You can see in my first picture that the gold connectors on the 32.8" TV are much smaller than those on the 16.4" TV. They may work well on a 16.4" device but not on a 34.8" device.2. I had to split the set to cover the cabinets. No barrel is longer than 16 feet, and in fact I think the longest barrel is around 9 feet. I asked support@govee about it and they told me no it doesn't work, then they told me yes you can increase the length with a wire, then when I had problems with the ez connectors they did Told me no, I can't do that again. So the problem is with the translation, I'm sure. But we decided to solder them and it turned out great. The 16.4" kit was easier to solder due to the larger leads, but we were able to bridge all the gaps and turn the light on the way we wanted without ending up losing power. Again, no run is longer than 9 or maybe 10ft. The app is pretty decent but the controllers are VERY slow to respond at times. I stage them and when choosing colors they all toggle one at a time. Sometimes you have to choose a color multiple times. But it works in the end , and they're cheap LEDs so not much to complain about but they lose a star, if you combine multiple sets into one scene, other scenes with changed lighting will disappear, so you have the candle scene, you can't use them for a group of controllers. You can only do this individually. Hopefully they'll add that later. Overall reasonably priced (if you sign up as a Govee Savy user, you'll get a 30% discount on the 32.4". format, so I bought them for a lot less. Overall I'm happy with them, even if the support was a bit lazy.
