The video shows the first test run and the woman's reaction when she saw the installation for the first time. They send a free replacement but the strip is hardwired to the controller so I have to rip it out entirely or solder in a new controller. It was fun while it lasted.

Wow! Great lights! Lots of bells and whistles! I bought these for my live stream and they cover my entire bottom floor! My kids love them, my friends compliment me all the time, and I get way more attention on Twitch! My ONLY complaint is the latest update! It messed up the "Music" mode TERRIBLE! This works fine. No issues with setup, Wi-Fi connection, pairing with Google and Alexa. But there are also some disadvantages. If you have a Samsung TV (I think I have a 65" Q8?) and the 'play' button is on the same channel as the rotate through flash, fade etc. So that's definitely annoying. The LEDs are all in small RGB, so the color (at lower brightness) is diluted compared to LEDs that use one LED for each R, G, and B. **Update **Govee Support Contacted me independently and provided a new set of lights. While testing the new lighting, I discovered a feature I hadn't noticed before. There is a "warm white" setting. So after adjusting this setting, "white” was no longer blue. Although they are still not as bright as the Phillips, they are significantly cheaper. Your support is top notch! I'm a big fan of this and have tried LOTS of Smart Strip Lights. I don't really understand all the bells and whistles like syncing music, setting up scenes etc etc etc. After so many horrible experiences with so many different cheap brands it really boils down to three important things for me: 1. Update 18 February 2021: I had to update my review as Govee has replaced their 32.8 inch sets with a controller which is now permanently attached to the strip. as kits 16.4. One of my bands stopped working on wifi so they sent me a new one. However, this unit has a plug built into the strip, meaning I would have to remove the strips I cut and soldered together to place them on different cabinet levels to use the new unit. This is totally unacceptable. I don't understand why they took this step…
