One of the latches didn't engage a defect nothing to do with the adjustment it just didn't engage I had to sharpen it a bit it clicked and closed couldn't return as I Got a new smoker and had it welded on so the smoker doors don't open when driving the trailer, will definitely check once I have them to make sure they both work properly.
