Review on 🎋 Helen's Asian Kitchen Bamboo Salt Box: Stylish Lid and Spoon Included, 7-Ounce Capacity by Michelle Wilson

This is my first mortar and pestle as my kitchen is Japanese style. Ceramic is beautiful and functional. Made half a pesto as soon as I got it. I didn't think it would work after spending a few minutes crushing some fried garlic. But after adding olive oil, basil, salt and some dried herbs, it really came together very quickly. Also surprised by the ease of cleaning. A little hot running water was enough to wash almost everything out of nooks and crannies. The only negative I have to say is that the wooden pestle I received has a hole for the lanyard that has split. It would be nice if it came with a cheap thread or leather strap. The rest of the pistil is smooth and free of green basil stains. I'll finish with mineral oil to give it some protection.
