Very rigid, Works great for < 16 " drawers. READ USEAGE TIPS FOR >16 " and practice holes

This set works great and is extremely rigid and provides a very reliable repeatable measurement for drilling hardware holes. As long as your drawer is less than 16" wide. You can see from my pictures its possible to create holes for wider drawers but you can no longer use the the measurement marks for centering the holes and will have to use another measuring vice to center the drawer holes.#1 Useage TIP: Practice holesNo matter what you do you should do a test drill on scrap before drilling into your drawer and test the fit with your drawer pull. You can use a piece of scrap 2x4 or what ever wood you have.#2 Tip: Drill into the side you see (the front) of the drawer or cabinet. The exit side will probably splinter, so it is best to start your drill on the most visible side. The hardware bolt head should cover the exit splinters. You can try using painters tap to reduce the splintering as well.#3 Tip DONT USE INCLUDED BITThe included drill bit is quite large. You can use it but I like to use the smallest drill bit possible. 3/16ths. Drill at the bottom of the jig's holes to make the holes in a consistent location. After you drill the hole, run the drill back and forth a few times to "sand the hole down a bit". Test the hole with your hardware's bolts to see if you need to go up in size.
