Review on π Honeywell MK9540-32A38 MS9540 Voyager HH Scanner USB Kit with Cable and Stand, Black, Low-High Density by Joseph Whiteman
The firmware is not upgradable and does not come with an RS232 cable for upgrading.
I bought 10 of these scanners for the library. The firmware is not up to date. Cannot be switched on from the PC. You have to turn it off and on again for it to work. Honeywell has stated that this is a firmware issue that can be fixed by updating with a cable that is not included. BecTech said it was possible via USB and sent me instructions from Honeywell's website to update via USB when used via POS, which we don't.
