I bought it for gardening. I usually wore comfortable sandals, but I didn't like getting my feet dirty when I was gardening or mowing the lawn. I like something that I can easily put on and take off. I often walk around the garden barefoot but when it's cold, damp and muddy I'm less prone to it and we have some areas with sharp rocks so it's nice to have something to slip on and a quick walk across the lawn or similar to deal with that. . I usually wear a loose size 11 and went for a size 12 according to the instructions and it seems to fit well. At first they didn't seem like staying on their feet very well, but after being lightly manhandled, they became quite strong. I like that they are easy to take off and have worn them to the store a few times when I didn't feel like wearing another shoe. They look pretty decent and look less hippie than my sandals.
