Review on πŸ’Ί Black Eurotech Vera Office Chair by Will Haglund

Poor packaging and forgivable comfort

Like many before me, this chair definitely has terrible packaging. I was expecting this, and before it came I thought how bad could it be? The chair arrived with a few holes in the main box it was installed in and 6 of the 7 screws were missing. I giggled because the Allen key was also missing and found both of the washers that come with the kit in the box! What a mess. It seems to me that the quality control issues are due to poor packaging as most of the packaging inside the box was damaged. I went to the hardware store to look for replacement bolts and couldn't find enough M8 x 30mm bolts in stock (required 4). ), I only found 2. I tried my luck (again) and managed to fit 2 screws M8 x 35mm in the middle (inside and on the side) where the armrests are placed with no problem. See attached picture. After assembly, I finally sat down on a chair and was amazed (yes, luckily everything worked). I've been in the Staples Hyken chair for 5 years and it's definitely been day and night. The seat is comfortable, the length barely fits me (I'm 5'10) and the rear seat and lumbar support are excellent. The armrests are flexible and also fall quite low, I don't know exactly. Dimensions but lower than my previous chair. The reclining tension is arguably the iconic feature of this chair, which is supremely comfortable when set up correctly. As a software engineer and avid PC gamer, I undoubtedly see myself in this chair for the next 6 years. Year old. Yes, the chair comes disassembled in horrible packaging, almost all small parts missing, but I'm willing to forgive this significant setback for the comfort this chair offers. Generous discount of 1 star for terrible packaging. 4 stars for amazing comfort at this price point. If you are considering this chair be prepared to take a risk with the assembly packaging but I can assure you the end product will pay off.
