DO NOT BUY, READ REVIEWS FIRST! I rarely, if ever, leave bad reviews and if possible I would give negative stars! About half of the mirrors seem perfect, but all the others have the same big problem: they don't open for batteries. This thing is rock solid and won't open where it should "twist and open easily". The problem is that you NEED to open the illuminated mirror light for it to work to put batteries in! I asked why this keeps happening in this mirror shop and got replies from 4 customers but none from the company. They didn't respond at all when I just wanted the mirror to work properly. I am disabled and unfortunately was hospitalized when he came so I didn't come back for 30 days. I now have a $30 lighted mirror that doesn't even light up for a paperweight. Please read the reviews! I didn't know and I should have known better. Over half have the same problem as me, they don't open for batteries making them a simple but heavy mirror. I bought an $8 backlit mirror at a thrift store to use on the counter and it works great. We'll try to cut the mirror in half. When we figure out what a manufacturing defect is and how to fix it, I'll post it in case like me you're stuck. I would strongly recommend buying it from another vendor. There are plenty of these, and sometimes it's worth paying another $5 for quality! I had to learn from my mistake and hope this can help you before you too experience the frustration it caused!
