Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix Liquid CPU Cooler: Enhancing Performance and Cooling Efficiency by Darius Early

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Runs much cooler than the air cooler I use

Pros: Amazing thermal performance of the Noctua 15 air cooler and the upper temperature limit is lower than air. The air warmed up to 82 degrees Celsius, while the water only reached 72 degrees Celsius. Fans don't grow or shrink with water cooling. In an air cooler, the fans frequently changed speed. Water cooling has a smoother fan ramp. Either from almost silent to barely noticeable. ICUE software is integrated with all other Corsair products. Disadvantages: LEDs are good at first, but quickly become boring. The ICUE software contains errors. Fans recognize most times, but sometimes only show one. LEDs are not individually addressable. IF you want to turn the fans on and the CPU off, you're out of luck (all on or all off). To change the fan speed, you need to check/uncheck the Limited Control box to make changes. I had to manually update the firmware multiple times to regain control of the software. The CPU block is louder than the fans and the engine noise gets annoying after a while. It wears on you like athlete's foot. I give it a 4 for performance. The software and the pump noise cost him a star. The Be Quiet water cooling is quieter than the Corsair version. And about $75 less.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Overall good but...
