I usually knit with circular needles or purl stitches, but I chose this set. I use size 10 to make a scarf. The scarf is a mix of different techniques and skills, some I've done before and some I've never done before. These needles are comfortable to use. They are well balanced and feel good in the hand. There was a small learning curve. I'm not used to the needle sticking out extra long, but I make sure to use it for projects like shawl halters. I loved the feel of the Zing needles so much that I ordered a whole collection of 8" DPN needles. Another positive aspect of knitting needles is that they come in different colors and in different sizes. If you don't have color problems, you won't have a hard time telling the different needles apart. It's not a problem with sizes 3 and 9, but it's a big problem with sizes 2 and 3 or 10 and 11. (Have you ever mixed up a DPN set and didn't realize it until you got 2" into your project got in? No, me neither. π±)
