Review on 🔥 De'Longhi Quiet 1500W Full Room Convection Panel Heater: Freestanding & Wall Mount, LED Digital Display, Adjustable Thermostat, Timer, EcoEnergy Saving Mode - White by Christina Jones

DO NOT BUY THIS HEATER. I rarely feel so strongly for or against that I bother to write a review of my frequent purchases. This is an exception. I received my device on 01/28/18 and after spending two minutes studying the simple instructions for use I was very happy with it... about two months until I got the horrible "Ht" warning. Nothing disturbed the device; this is a malfunction. I called DeLonghi support on 04/17/18. The agent was very helpful and basically admitted that this was a known problem with the heating. He wanted the date of purchase and the price. Next instructions were to send a photo of the power cord after I cut it from the heater. light enough. Now they send me a new block which I will receive in 10-14 days. Not great as it's my main heat source. And no word on disposal of the faulty unit which could be a problem. However - and this is my biggest warning - the warranty does not extend with a new device. That is, if I receive a series of defective units, I will receive a SOL at the end of the original warranty period. Shame on DeLonghi for continuing to charge people for a heater they know doesn't work! Note: I also have a DeLonghi espresso machine which I really like but has some glitches. I can bypass them, but it makes me think maybe DeLonghi has a system problem with their electronics. I will update my review after the second heater has run for a while. UPDATE MAY 10: I received the replacement unit yesterday, more than 3 weeks after my initial complaint. My warranty was still running at this point. DeLonghi informed me that the HCX9115E was out of stock, so I was offered one of two different units - an oil-filled unit (which I declined) and an old-style convection heater (which arrived yesterday). this is a joke Must be a 1980's model. It doesn't have a thermostat, so "when the room is at the desired temperature, slowly turn the thermostat knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click." REALLY?! This @#$% is very handy! Also, to set the timer, I can now use a watch face with 30-minute increment pins that slide in or out to indicate on or off. Reminds me of the timer for my garden sprinkler (which has no power). It's extremely low tech. Apparently there is a reason why both of the devices I was offered in the trade are sold well below the HCX9115E. I haven't had the pleasure of using this old POS since spring came in California, but it won't change my mind if I do. Conclusion: I am very disappointed in both the product and the service. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM DELONGHI AGAIN AND I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DO SO. WOOD PRODUCTS AND REQUIRED WARRANTY/REPLACEMENT POLICIES. Save money and frustration and get a better brand.
