When I bought the cup holder I wanted it to fit the cup snugly no matter the size. I found it good for a cup holder with walls on the sides. My retainers have a small gap where it meets another retainer. This made it very difficult to get this product snug fitting as I had to place it correctly and hope the roads didn't shake it. The other problem I had was that most people have a phone case on their phones and I wanted something I could "grab from the bottom" of anywhere. The "curve part" at the bottom holds the phone without the case, but nothing more. The depth of the holder is standard and the width can even accommodate a large phone. I use it but it's not exactly what I was looking for.
