The new screen is hardly of the same quality as the previous one. The optically very uneven-looking screen material of the new screen has parallel wavy lines. These irregularities running over the entire surface are not only clearly visible, but also easy to feel, which leads to uneven screen openings. The screen looks pretty narrow. It's just that it's made from inferior materials and/or manufacturing processes. The pressing of the screening material into a round frame is also not yet complete. This causes the partially beaded frame to stretch under the bottom edge of the frame, forming a sharp edge over which the screen is drawn. On the original screen, the beading is done so that the beaded edge of the screen is recessed into the inner surface of the screen. screen frame. When using this screen, the sharp edge on which the screen material is applied will be quickly cut off due to friction during normal use. At the same time, I bought a 13-inch splash screen that does not have these disadvantages. After receiving the 11 inch screen, I emailed Lodge Manufacturing using the information on their customer service webpage. That was a week ago and I haven't heard from them. I wanted to let them know about the low quality of this product and give them an opportunity to rectify the situation. Since this was not the case, I am adding this information to the review. This product is another example of a once good company losing control of product quality by using offshore (Made in China) manufacturers. On the other hand, the 13-inch screen is also "Made in China" and makes a decent impression. Lodge needs to better check the quality of its products before shipping garbage to its customers.
