It does the job but the connection between the handle and the screen isn't very strong. Bends easily when moving. It is recommended to wash in the dishwasher after use. The trapped fat will smoke and burn on the next use if the screen is not thoroughly cleaned.

I love cooking bacon in my cabin's cast iron pans. My only annoyance was that the bacon would stain my entire cooktop and the splatters would occasionally burn me. This screen has reduced that clutter from an annoyance to almost none. I haven't burned myself since I started using it. I highly recommend it.

Good protection when frying fish to avoid splashes. I had a problem when the product came with a bad weld on the handles to the screen, it wasn't chrome plated. Lodge quickly sent a replacement which was perfect. So while no problems are always a pleasure, GREAT customer service is ALWAYS GREAT!

I'm usually a big fan of the lodge but the quality of this one seems to be below average. I don't know if it's original or fake but I was shocked by the fragility. When it arrived it had virtually no packaging, just a transparent bag with a sticker showing the model. The net has been partially discolored, please add if already used and returned. The handle finish is uneven (some areas are faded), the welds on the handle are of poor quality. I felt like it might break if just hand washed.

Too weak to get more than 2 stars. Sorry to say that because I LOVE Lodge stuff. I have a lot of their cast iron cookware. It's excellent and everything is made in the USA, not with that splatter screen. Made in China, sold by Lodge. And you all know what that means. Typical Chinese junk. Don't try to bang this thing on the sink or anything else after washing. The grip releases immediately. Tiny welds (looks soldered, not welded) snap into place with a light push. This splatter screen is VERY disappointing. I bought this to replace an 11 inch lodge screen that is probably 7-8 years old. It still works but is dark and partially clogged from years of heavy use. The new screen is hardly of the same quality as the previous one. The optically very uneven-looking screen material of the new screen has parallel wavy lines.
