They are not very bright and do not shine very far. They're more like a spotlight. Another problem with them is how they are adjustable, they have splines on each side so you have to put them in those grooves to keep them from moving. The problem I had was one notch being too low and the next notch being too high. So I just removed the wedges and then just tightened them with thread lock and so far so good. Good overall but I'm sure there are better ones out there especially if you need a headlight.
