Review on ๐ŸŽฎ [Updated] Hand Grip for Nintendo 2DS XL: Includes 1 Stylus and 1 Clear Case by Ryan Gilliam

The best 2DS XL grip ever!

I just received this and have been using it for days now. I don't have any major problems with it at the moment. It's solid, but as there have been some reports of PDA holders breaking easily, that hasn't happened to me yet, but considering I haven't removed the thing since fitting it to my 2DS XL, it only will show the time. I haven't done a drop test or load test with the product yet, but so far its construction is "robust". The best thing about this stylus is that I don't have to constantly remove it to access my game cartridge and memory card. The only possible downside is that it makes the 2DS a little clunky, but you'll have to live with that to even get a handle on it. I can still slip the device (with the handle attached) into my day trip bag, so despite the larger profile the device is still portable. The stylus that comes with the grip is a bit difficult to remove, but that's not a problem for me. I rarely use a stylus, but that's because I also bought a retractable (extendable) stylus for the 2DS to replace the VERY short stylus that came with the original device. I will update this review within 30 days if there are any changes. as I will be taking both the block and the handle with me on trips out of town. I also bought a protection plan with this pen for those "just in case" things. UPDATE (June 21, 2018): So I missed the 30 day mark. The new grip will hold up even after over 30 days of intermittent play. No problems with it, no broken claws, etc. However, I would like to point out that despite the "heavy" use, I actually paid attention to both the PDA and the grip. It said; As long as you take care of your belongings and don't abuse them to intentionally cause a catastrophic failure, it holds the 2DS XL like a glove unless you're constantly taking the grip off and putting it back on. In fact, the 2nd generation handle does not have to be removed to access the necessary compartments, as was the case with the 1st generation handle, which completely blocks the cartridge door. As for the 1st gen grip, I can guarantee that the Fyoung 1st gen grip that I also own hasn't lasted more than a month because I kept having to take the thing off to change game cartridges - the Lugs strain easily. due to pressure when removing and installing the PDA. Their new design has solved this problem: once you put them on, you don't have to take them off anymore. You just have to live with a slightly larger profile.
